Welcome to 'Hebrew in New Zealand,' a dedicated research project shedding light on Hebrew transmission, usage, and preservation within New Zealand. The project is lead by Annabel Noar, a PhD candidate at Monash University who grew up in New Zealand's special Jewish community. The research starts with a survey phase, and is expected to generate deeper understandings of New Zealand Jewry and Hebrew transmission in small communities. Insights gained may also be applicable to other minority language maintenance scenarios, too.
